Please note this is "delayed release" not "slow release", and we do not provide a "slow release" NADH product. The reason it is delayed release is because NADH is destroyed by stomach acid, so must be taken sublingually or in a DR (delayed release) capsule which will open in the small intestine and not in the stomach. The capsules used by our manufacturer have passed a disintegration test at very high acidity levels, and at 37 celcius (the normal temperature of the stomach) demonstrating that capsules are not broken down by the hydrochloric acid of the stomach.
There is considerable, and valid concern about whether products in general, and NADH in particular contain what they say on the tin. Which magazine recently did a survey of health supplements and found a number of the companies (usually the ones who sell cheap rubbish) did not contain the amount stated in their products. Before releasing our own product, we felt it was critical to ensure that any product bearing our label did contain the amount we are claiming. So we spent good money getting own own Certificate of Analysis done from an accredited testing lab, prior to making our own label product available on our web site. The result was that it was found to actually slightly exceed the quantity stated on the label, at 23mg per capsule. We are therefore confident that this is a quality product. If anyone wants to see the Certificate of Analysis for themselves, please Contact Us.
This is because we only launched this delayed release capsule 2019 whereas we began selling NADH Rapid Energy in 2011. On average for all products, we only get a tiny % of people who can be bothered to write reviews at all, so it takes a long time to build up a significant number of reviews.
NADH or N.A.D.H (an abbreviation for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydride), also known as Coenzyme 1 or Bioactive Vitamin B3 as it is the Coenzyme form of Vitamin B3 is a very versatile and important nutrient. Because of its many applications, it is listed in all of the following categories of the web site.
Plase note, this is a fairly high strength 20mg per tablet NADH product. Most NADH products on the market are 5-10mg.
NADH stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydride. NADH is the biological form of hydrogen. It reacts with the oxygen present in every living cell, thus producing energy and water. The more NADH a cell has available, the more energy it can produce, the better it functions and the longer the cell (and the entire organism) lives.
Though NADH is present in our foods, we take in only marginal amounts of it from our daily diet. Most of the NADH is destroyed during the cooking process. The situation would not be greatly improved even if our diet consisted mostly of raw meat and fish, as the NADH present in these foods is degraded within seconds by the acid environment produced by the gastric juices in the stomach.
Is it possible to increase the amount of NADH in the cell by adding NADH from outside? The answer is yes. This suggests that we can increase the energy levels in our cells. Due to this fact, the cells can produce more of all the components essential for life, and thus they will function better and live longer. This is feasible by supplementation with NADH in order to boost the hydrogen taken in by the human body.
The amount of NADH a cell contains depends on the amount of energy it requires. The heart and the brain need the most energy of all our organs, thus these organs benefit the most from an external supply of NADH. All other organs, particularly the lungs, the liver and the kidneys, also get more energy from NADH and function better. Biological hydrogen is the fuel for cellular energy production and nutritional supplementation can provide our body with more NADH.
Dr. Richard Passwater, biochemist and expert on antioxidants in the USA, writes in the foreword of the book NADH—The Energizing Coenzyme (written by Professor George Birkmayer) that: “While there is no such thing as a singularly ‘most important’ compound in the body, or even a ‘most important antioxidant’, NADH comes as close as a single compound can. NADH is both the primary coenzyme that drives reduction and oxidation reactions in cellular metabolism and the most powerful antioxidant.”

NADH is made from reactions involving Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3). Their process is proprietary and the manufacturers do not disclose the methodology even to us.
According to Professor George Birkmayer, "Over the years we learned that Vitamin B3 (Niacin or Nicotinamide) inhibits the positive effects of NADH, most likely in a competitive way". For this reason we recommend avoiding vitamin B3, vitamin B complexes, and multivitamins (which nearly always contain vitamin) B3 for a couple of hours either side of taking NADH in order to obtain best results.

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) and NADH (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, reduced) are two forms of the same molecule involved in cellular energy metabolism, and they are closely related in their roles within metabolic pathways. NAD+ is the oxidized form of the molecule, meaning it has accepted electrons during metabolic reactions. In contrast, NADH is the reduced form, meaning it has gained electrons. The interconversion between these two forms is critical for maintaining cellular energy balance and supporting various metabolic pathways.
We don't sell NAD+ but we do provide Liposomal NMN which is the precursor to NAD+.
