Nattokinase is provided in enterically coated (delayed release) capsules (from HMPC) to ensure effective opening in the small intestine, bypassing the stomach.

About Nattokinase

Nattokinase was discovered in Japan by research scientist Dr. Hiroyuki Sumi who was looking for a natural remedy for dissolving blood clots. It was originally extracted from natto, which is a fermented soybean based food, popular in some parts of Japan, but hated by most Westerners because of its peculair taste and texture.

Nattokinase and Serrapeptase

Although nattokinase works splendidly as a stand alone product for digesting fibrin, if you are taking serrapeptase, from customer feedback we can say that it further enhances the effect of the serrapeptase.

Product information

  • Nattokinase is a fibrinolytic proteolytic enzyme, meaning that it digests fibrin
  • Excess fibrin considered to be the root cause of sticky blood
  • Nattiokinase has stronger fibrinolytic activity than plasmin, the body’s natural anti-clotting agent
  • Works well with serrapeptase
  • Help with management of pain and inflammation

Ingredients

Micro-crystalline cellulose, 4,000 FU Nattokinase*, Veg Magnesium Stearate, HPMC Vegan & Vegetarian Safe

* We know the term "FU" sounds rude, but it actually stands for Fibrinolytic Units, which is the measurement used for the strength of the product.

Suggested Usage

1-2 capsules daily on an empty stomach (at least 1/2 hour before or at least 2 hours after food). Note, this product will not work properly, if at all, if you do not take it on an empty stomach

Made in the United Kingdom.

How many mg are there per capsule?

We get asked this question a lot, but the mg of enzyme per capsule or tablet means nothing unless you also know the strength of the raw enzyme. Mg is purely a measurement of weight, not effectiveness.  What would be the point of having a very high amount of mg, but a product which is devoid or almost devoid of any actual enzyme activity? None! This is why the ONLY meaningful measurement is the strengh in FU. Unfortunately with all due respect, it is a pointless question. Anyone who tells you to obtain "XYZ" mg, unfortunately doesn't know what they are talking about. Neverthess since we get asked about this, the answer is 50mg for the 2000 FU strength, and 100mg for the 4000 FU strrength.
